MINC Design Studio
MINC is an interior architectural practice. Our design ethos is simple: to create architecturally minded, contemporary spaces that are curated + authentic
Cape Town based interior architecture studio, MINC is led by design director Sam Muir a registered professional architect passionate about interior spaces. She graduated as an architect in 2004, from the University of Cape Town, and thereafter worked for some of South Africa’s leading architectural firms, including The Paragon Architect Group & Metropolis Design, before starting her own practice in 2009. Sam's architectural experience and spatial understanding is reflected in her tailored and curated interiors.
MINC specializes in bespoke architectural renovations and tailored interior architecture + design, for high-end contemporary projects. Each project is individually crafted to meet the client’s lifestyle, dreams and budget. We pride ourselves on our personalized service and close attention to detail.
Services we offer:
Developing your dream
In response to a client's brief, a concept design presentation is created for discussion. This includes suggested brickwork & structural changes, furniture layouts and precedent images mood boards.
Detail design + working drawings
This stage entails detailing up the concept design stage into working drawings for construction. These include lighting & electrical layouts, bathroom design & sourcing, kitchen design, finishes specifications & procurement. During this stage the furniture & window treatments are also sourced. We also attend site meetings with the various contractors during this phase to ensure a seamless process.
Final installation + styling
With construction completed, we arrange for a full site clean before installing the furniture, window treatments and accessories. We then coordinate the delivery and positioning of all furniture and custom made fixed furniture, as well as curate artwork and home accessories, to create the finished look. We also dress your new interior with your existing treasures, to give each room your own personal feel.
“The details are not the details, they make the design.”
